FAQ for applicants
What are the requirements to apply?

For Nurses– You need to be qualified a nurse. To start work, a minimum German level of B1 must be available, preferably B2.

For Nursing students- B1 for starting application. B2 for beginning the studies.

For FSJ (Voluntary Service year) -. A2 for starting application.

How do I find a suitable employer?

After an initial consultation, we discuss together and find out which employer could be the right one.

How long does the application process take?

From the first contact to starting work about 8 Months -application process (interview, employment contract), admission to the labor market (approx. 1-2 months), appointment at the embassy (1-3 months, depending on the country), recognition procedure (approx.3 months). This is for candidates with minimum B1 level certificates.

Do I have to prove a certain language level?

Minimum B1 is required to apply for the visa. A B2 level is required for professional recognition. However, we also conduct job interviews in the local language before the start of your German course.

Do you organize language courses in your home country?

Together with our partner Blumen Academy, Angamally, we offer online and offline language courses for A1, A2, B1 and B2.

How do I get my professional recognition?

After the applicant has received an offer of employment, we collect, certify and translate all the necessary documents and send to the approving authority. This process usually takes four to six months. We are at your side and do it for you. You will receive either “full recognition” (as a nursing specialist) or partial recognition, provided that significant differences between the foreign and the German professional qualification are identified. If there is partial recognition, a so-called deficit notice is issued, which contains the necessary measures to obtain full recognition. These necessary measures can be theory lessons, practical hours in individual departments or language deficits. In practice, this is either an adaptation course or a knowledge test. Nursing staff can freely choose between the two variants. Most often, the decision depends on the possibilities of the employer.

Which documents must I submit?

We need a CV, photo, copy of diploma and a language certificate (if available). As soon as a job offer has been received, we need all the documents for the professional recognition procedure – we will tell you exactly what these are in a personal consultation.

What are the costs for the entire application process?

Do we get language assistance?

We can act as translators if necessary and help, for example in an interview or even after starting work as an intermediary provided the employer allows it.

Do we get assistance when we arrive in Germany?

We will pick you up from Airport to employer. On all the necessary administrative procedures we help you – be it registering at your place of residence, extending your visa or opening a bank account.

Can I bring my spouse and children to Germany?

Yes! Once your professional recognition has been completed and you have your certificate as a nurse, your spouse/children can follow to Germany without any further requirements. The application must be made through the local immigration office. This process usually takes about six months. All family members can then also be insured through your health insurance coverage.

What is the salary in Germany?

Your gross monthly salary as a nursing assistant is around €2,100 – €2,300 gross, as a registered nurse at €2,500 to €3,000 gross plus 20 – 30% allowances (e.g., extra shifts, night shifts, public holidays, etc.). Salaries vary by state and employer. This depends on various factors, e.g., B. Tariff agreements, professional experience, special qualifications, etc.) How much net is left over from the respective gross depends on various boundary conditions, in particular marital status and the associated tax class.

How many vacation days are there per year?

Depending on the tariff, the annual vacation is between 26 and 30 days.

How can I get insurance in Germany?

You will be insured with a health insurance company from the time you start working. You are therefore subject to social security contributions. This means that you are automatically covered in the event of illness or unemployment.

What qualifications do the applicants have?

As a rule, applicants have completed training as nurses or have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nursig.

How long does it take from being hired to starting work?

What are the costs for the employer?

In addition to our service fee, there are costs for the professional recognition process (certifications, translations, authority fees), language courses (A1 to B2) and travel costs for the future employee.

How does the application process work?

According to your demand, we look for suitable applicants from our pool. After reviewing suitable profiles, they will be sent the applicant profile. If necessary, an interview can then be coordinated between you and the applicant via Zoom or similar online providers of your choice.  We will coordinate the appointments.

What is the process of professional recognition?

After we have received an offer of employment from you, we collect all the necessary documents, certify them and send them translated to the responsible regional council. Depending on the federal state, the recognition process can take four to six months. If the process is to be accelerated, there is the so-called Accelerated Skilled Immigration Act (FEG) – this process takes a maximum of 4 months and costs an additional €411. If you want an FEG procedure, we will of course take over the entire coordination for you and guide you through the process.
